Penn Camera is a photography source that has been in operation for over 50 years. While the color scheme of gray on navy blue appears to be a bit bland, the layout and functionality of the site more than makes up for it. As far as an updated secure “feel” to a camera site goes, Porter’s Camera Store offers exactly that. The home page is presented in the form of a splash page. Tons of imagery is used to portray a light, soft approach to the sale of cameras and camera accessories. The simplistic feel to the main page is nice, but at times the image rollovers seem a bit cheesy.

The first impression of this website is disappointing as the wait time for page loading was excessive. The wait time was tested it twice with the same results. Products are accessible based on specifications such as resolution, and only afterwards, by brand. The site design is pleasing but impractical. When visiting the information screen users are requiremd to to scroll in another window containing which displays in smaller font size .
